Programming report viewer at run time

I have a report that works. It has been added to a webform (dot net 2.0)
that works. It has an image control in the upper left hand of the page
header. I would like to be able to change that graphic depending on a sql
table setting as the web form loads,
Does anyone know of a good detailed example of how to do this?
I have tried this and it does NOT work:
Dim myImage1 As New Image
myImage1 = Me.ReportViewer1.FindControl("Image1")
myImage1.ImageUrl = "Images/small_info_logo.jpg"

Instead of setting the ImageUrl in the web form, set it in the report
itself. You should be able to provide an Expression value for the
ImageUrl in the report builder - just point it to a dataset (possibly
using the Iif() function if the url is not stored in the database
records).

>|||Actually that will not work. If you use any external pointer the designer
imports the garphic at design time. I am hoping to get a run time interrface
that loads the graphic based on a table value.

That shouldn't be the case if you're setting the Url to an
expression... also check that the image control is not set to
'embedded'?

programmaticaly save deployed report in ASP.NET 2.0

Does somebody knows how to save a remote report on the webserver when the report is generated in a report viewer, all programmaticaly behind the scenes?

So I can view the report later.

There various approaches to this. Personally I would present the user with some UI for selecting which report they wish to view and submit this to the server using a HTML form. On the server side, check if the requested report exists (depending on how often you wish to recreate the report), if yes then redirect the user to the report, if not then you will need to make a call to the ReportService.Render method requesting HTML as the output format, write the html file to the server and then redirect the user to the newly generated file.

Obviously there are other considerations such as data security, parameters etc.... to consider.

I have found a solution for the problem by using the Render method as you suggested.
On my localhost it works fine. Only thing to check is if it works on the internet as well.

Programmatically Adding ADO.NET Connections

I can't find any documentation on the connection string for creating ADO.NET connections.

I am displaying a report in a viewer. It is connected to a wrapper DLL through an ADO.NET connection using the properties:
File Path
Class Name
Dataset Names

I'm having trouble accessing these to change them at runtime.

I've tried something like:
rpt.database:Tables(1):ConnectionProperties("File Path") = "c:\..."

No luck. Crystal doesn't have much documentation on this method. Any takers?Nevermind. Got it.

I was able to override the path of my DLL at runtime using the syntax:

report.database.tables(1).ConnectionProperties("File Path").Value = "c:\blah"

seems to be working.
